My dear fellow Rotarians,

At the outset, I thank all the Rotarians of RID 3040 for electing me as the District Governor 2007-08. It is a proud previladge for me to be at the helm of affairs of our district. I am really great full for your affection, which gives me confidence and enthusiasm in carrying my duties effectively in coming year. I am also happy to welcome you all in my 2007-08 leadership team.

Our Rotary movement has grown from only 4-member club to 1.2 millions in more than 32000 club. It is due to our willingness to share. Our RI President Wilffraid J. ilkinson has given us a wonderful theme, "Rotary Shares ". Rotarian shares their time, their talents, their expertise and their money to carry out projects successfully, which help us to grow.

Continuity is in which our RI president willf tress upon. Water, Literacy, health and Family of Rotary are the areas in which we have to continue our efforts,. A polio free world is the invaluable gift which rotary could give to children of tomorrow.
Looking to above continuity, I have planned out many programs and projects during the coming year. I have selected a number of good, active and enthusiastic Rotarians as my Team Members. There is no "Position of Power " in Rotary but it is "position of responsibilities " and my team understands their responsibilities very well. At the same time I depend on all the Rotarians of District. I am sure by active participation of each of them and with support, guidance from all the PDGs. We can achive these Goals.

One such goal worth mentioning on the website is about this website itself. It has been my desire to make the DISTRICT WEBSITE a place where rotarians look up for information and know about the activites of all clubs in our district.This is an exercise which will require collective effort and let us join hands to make this a reality.
